Unlock 57 Destinations: Indian Passport's Visa-Free Power Surge!
It's fantastic news for holders of Indian passports that the Indian passport is now stronger than it was in the Henley Passport Index's most recent edition. Based in large part on information from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Henley Passport Index rankings are based on how many places passport holders can visit without a prior visa.
With visa-free travel to 57 countries, India has improved its ranking from the previous year and moved up six ranks on the index, from 87th in July 2022 to 81st this year.
Henley & Partners, a worldwide citizenship and residency advice organisation with offices in London, recently released the Henley Passport Index for 2023, which offers a thorough examination of passport power and international mobility. Based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the index assessed the accessibility and visa-free potential of 227 travel locations and 199 passports.
